melt the butter in a pan. stir in the sugar and stir mixture until well combined. arrange the saltines in single layers on a baking sheet. pour the sugar/butter mixture evenly over the crackers. bake at 400 for 10 minutes or so. don’t let the crackers get too brown. remove them from the oven and sprinkle the contents of chocolate chip bag evenly over the crackers. put back in the oven for a few minutes, until the chips have melted. with a butterknife or the back of a large spoon, spread the melted chips evenly over the crackers. let cool; place in the refrigerator and chill until the chocolate has hardened. remove from the fridge and break into pieces. try not to eat the entire pan by yourself. seriously, it’s hard not to.

1 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
