potatoes are pretty awesome.

the recipe is here, and the easiest thing ever, pretty much. and man are they good! i was almost disappointed that i had only purchased one bag of these babies while i was in Idaho Falls last weekend, but it says on the label that you can get them at Melissas Produce (a source that Rick Bayless recommends) so if i want more (and i do) it’s nice to know they are close at hand, in a manner of speaking. but these little yellow potato babies – are so good. so creamy and buttery and when roasted, their skin is nice and crisp. if you run across these potatoes, do yourself a huge favor and buy them. and eat them.

all you need is olive oil, coarse salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if you want). par boil them on the stove for about 5 minutes, then drain them, toss them with said olive oil, salt, pepper blah blah blah and roast them in the oven.

and yes, last night’s dinner was very “what’s in my fridge that needs eaten up.” if you couldn’t tell.
